  At around 8:00pm yesterday, Gift lodge was raided by 4(four) armed masked men. They beat up students and collected their valuables. GistMeANSU garnered that this is about the 4th robbery attack on this lodge.

On 14th of September, there was a birthday party at Infinity Lodge Umudioka, during the party, 3 (three) Vigilante members entered the building demanding for money (Sortings), threatening to stop the party if they were not given something. So out of fear, the lodge members contributed and settled them. Later that night, one of the three men who came earlier returned hovering around the party premises.

                                A trainee doctor has died while producing a sample at a sperm bank. Zheng Gang, who suffered a heart attack, was found unresponsive in a booth at the building at China’s Wuhan University. Worried workers had accessed his private booth when they realised he had spent two hours inside. They discovered the 23-year-old unconscious and despite their attempts to revive him he was pronounced dead at the scene.

 A convicted killer who was out on bail broke into his girlfriend's house, killed her and made a macabre meal out of her heart, lungs and brains, police said. Joseph Oberhansley, 33, allegedly forced his way into the home of his partner Tammy Jo Blanton, 46, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, on Thursday. 40 persons have been confirmed dead following the collapse of a six storey building, within the premises of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said on Sunday. The Synagogue building which collapsed at Ikotun in Lagos State, south-west Nigeria, on Friday, was under construction. 140 persons had been rescued from the debris, as efforts to rescue others continued. The building had been used partly as a lodge for guests, mostly foreigners.

A lewd statue of Satan that seemingly popped up overnight in East Vancouver in Canada has been taken down by city officials after raising eyebrows — among other things. My name is Comr. Arthur Anekwe, I represent National Association of Philosophy students (NAPS). I been wondering why some of us find it so difficult to understand the real meaning of the word ‘POLITICS’.   A student of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, one  Vivian Iwuji who  gave birth to a baby boy on August 2, 2014 has with the assistance of her boyfriend, one Obinna Ugochukwu sold the baby for the  sum of N620,000.  However, luck ran out on them as the buyer, one Ehegalara Edwin was arrested by the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of the Imo State Police Command, Owerri and the baby  rescued. Sunday Sun reports that Vivian’s father, Mr Patrick Iwuji told the police that him and his wife were aware that their daughter, Vivian was pregnant.

  According to the commissioner, who was briefing journalists on developments on the virus, the state’s contact tracing team had identified a total of 178 people who had contact with Dr. Iyke Enemuo, the medic who died after treating an Ebola patient. Parker said while the 50 had “high-risk exposure” to the virus, three persons had been moved to the Isolation centre in Eduoha, while late Enemuo’s wife who was earlier moved to Lagos is stable and responding to treatment. 

Five  persons, a man and two of his children and two others were confirmed dead on Friday  in the village of Uchenyim , Wanikade, North Ukelle in northern Cross River State after eating the meat of a dog. Reports from the area said the dog was fond of eating the eggs laid by native chicken in the Odareko-Uchenyim village and one of the villagers allegedly laced the eggs laid by his chicken with gamalin 20 insecticide  and as expected, “the dog ate the eggs and fell ill and when it was about to die the owner quickly killed and prepared it into a delicacy which he, his family consumed and some neigbours consumed ” Ugbem Onawo, a villager narrated to Vanguard.
