Oluwafemi Shonibare a 400L student of Microbiology was said to be cooking at his private hostel on Monday, July 26, when he suddenly abandoned the food and went out.
According to Punch, Oluwafemi's friends said they did not know
whether he went out to buy something or somebody called him on the telephone, adding that the student had not been found since that time.

The Acting Registrar of the School, Gafar Shittu according to Punch has confirmed the case.
Shittu who confirmed the case on Telephone said “The case is a mysterious one. The boy was seen until around 10 pm on Monday, but he has not been seen since then. We learnt that the police have made one arrest.
“The police have transferred the case from Oke Baale to the State of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department.” He said.

A female student of the University, identified as Ayomide told Punch that the students would embark on protests against cases of missing students in the university.
Urging the school management, security agencies and community leaders to act fast on the issue, Ayomide said that students living at Oke Baale no longer felt safe.

It will be recalled that two final year students of the University, Samuel Eke and Robert Akinduro were declared missing in September 2016 while Rofiat Adebisi, another 400L student went missing in December 2016 only to be found dead in Iragbiji days later.
