Asiegbu Juliet is dead! She gave up the ghost on 24th of March at about 4:13pm. Information reaching me did not disclose the venue of her death. She reportedly died of Pneumonia. According to a source who pleaded anonymity, the deceased was making plans for her traditional marriage before she died. Juliet, born 4th July, 1992 was a 300 level student of Mass Communications department in Anambra State University, Igbariam Campus. She hailed from Akwaeze in Anambra State. It was a few minutes into 8pm yesterday, when the Nigeria police invaded the Jesus is Lord area and arrested eighteen (18) 'student-passer bys'. These students were taken to Nteje Police station where they passed the night. At dawn, they were placed on bail. Some of these students are innocent and were not accused of any crime at all. According to an eye witness who pleaded anonymity, the police was fond of arresting students for no reason and requesting for bail at long last. He was arrested and beaten by the Anti-Cult on Monday 16th February, for going against the school rules. Report reaching us says it was Kinsley Onyimba who called the attention of the school. Faculty of Engineering conducted its primary (In house) election for the Ansu S.U.G governorship election. It was between Zenith and Julius. 2nd Feb; 2015. Uzoetue Daniel C. (Zenith) defeated Ndibe Julius (Julius). The election kicked off at about 4:06pm. With all the whole stakeholders present (S.U.G, Faculty and Departmental office holders). The total accredited vote was 156 Total vote casted is 115 votes Valid votes is 114 Invalid votes is 1 vote. Ndibe Julius got 51 votes and Uzoetue Daniel got 63 votes. Uzoetue Daniel C. was declared the winner while the Entire Faculty of Engineering unanemously endorsed him as their Candidate for the forth coming Ansu S.U.G governorship election. Ndibe Julius accepted defeat and steped down for Uzoetue Daniel C. and promise to work with Uzoetue Daniel C. (Zenith) to actualize his dreams. A legal practitioner, Mr. Chukwunweike Okafor, on Monday, approached the Federal High Court in Abuja with an application seeking a declaration that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), lacked the educational qualification to stand for the February 14 presidential election. The originating summons marked FHC/ABJ/CS/01/2015 has Buhari, APC and the Independent National Electoral Commission as the first, second and third defendants respectively. The suit was filed pursuant to Section 131 of the Constitution, which prescribes a minimum qualification for nomination to participate in the presidential election and Section 31 of the Electoral Act that requires all presidential candidates to depose to an affidavit that they have satisfied and complied with the constitutional requirements to be President of Nigeria.

It's no longer NEWS that Ansu Students embarked on a 'peaceful protest' on Friday 23rd January. The protest was triggered by a text sent from the office of the school Registrar on 20th of January at about 11:37am, instructing students to pay up their tuition fees before 26th of the same month, as the school website would be finally closed. On the 22nd of January, a text from an anonymous sender who hid under the name 'SchoolFeesCry' at about 7:15am sent a message which read thus: "D registra givn us monday 2 pay d fees if not dimd 2 hv witdron 4 dis sesion.dis is a AcMERCILESS POLICY.com out on friday n SPEAK 4 URSELF PEACEFUL PROTEST" The students then complied and shunned going school on Friday 23rd January, blocked the school road and stopped public transports. Our able Vice Chancellor spoke to the students and extended the closure of the school website by one week. At about 8:48pm on 25th January, the same anonymous sender with the name

According to sources, the victim is alive and responding to treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
