Another air disaster was averted this yesterday when an IRS Aircraft made an emergency landing in Kaduna. A Fokker 28 plane, carrying 89 passengers from Lagos to Kaduna, developed hydraulic problems few minutes before landing at the Kaduna airport. The aircraft's front tyres refused to come out during landing, forcing the pilot to land without them. Fortunately no one was injured. The Managing Director of IRS, Yemi Dada, later explained what happened to reporters. I was mildly horrified when Emeka didn't ask me out the first Semester of school, but I was a happy camper. I saw him every single day. Last week sartuday, the Down syndrome foundation Nigeria had their charity walk which i was privileged to attend alongside my Music partner (Lawany) and manager (St Victor). This  week is their awareness week which is normally been held once in a year, and a proud to be part of it. T he Down syndrome foundation is a Non-governmental charity organization with its head office located at Surulere, Lagos.

A 30-seat plane belonging to Associated Airlines carrying the remains of Ondo state former governor Olusegun Agagu and 20 other passengers crashed this morning shortly after take off from the domestic wing of MMIA. An aviation official confirmed the plane suffered engine failure after takeoff. It's also been confirmed that at least five passengers of the ill-fated flight survived, (including Agagu's son and son in-law) and  have been taken to hospitals , while 14  bodies have been recovered from the crash site. The black box of the plane has also been recovered. The casket bearing Agagu's corpse (pictured above) was recovered almost intact at the scene of the crash. Rescuers said almost all parts of the aircraft was burnt except the back where the casket was kept. The full manifest of the occupants of the plane has been released by aviation authorities.
