Breaking: Former Minister Of Works, Senator Isaiah Balat Is Dead (Confirmed)


Senator Isaiah Balat  was appointed Minister of State for Works & Housing in the cabinet of President Olusegun Obasanjo in June 1999.

Before his death he served as the Minister of State for Works and Housing from 1999-2000 and also as a Senator representing Kaduna South Local Government from 2003- 2007.

He died in Abuja on Tuesday at about 1pm, his political ally and kinsman, Philip Sule, confirmed to reporters. Mr. Balat, 62, was a notable Kaduna politician and a close aide of President Goodluck Jonathan.

He established the Isaiah Balat Foundation, which has the goal of vaccinating over a million people across Kaduna state against Meningitis.
