A TRIBUTE By Jolly Master

On the 5th of June 2013 two students of our great citadel were shot by armed robbers. Then at Exactly 10:12pm, one of the victims, Tessy, a 100level Mass Communication student died after loosing so much blood as a result of the shooting. Barely 12 hours after Tessy's death, I, Jolly-Master was shot by the Police as a scapegoat to stop the students protest and I almost bled my life out until God's grace manifested.


Xavi gave up the ghost to a gunshot by one of those who could not protect our lives and that of Tessy. I never knew they had guns; because they were never seen with one. They only paraded themselves with log of woods, stopping bikes who hit the road after 7pm.

Today, Xavi went 6feet down. 6feet below the soil. Just like that.
This simply means that all the dreams and aspirations of his parents, all the goodwill messages of friends and family on his graduation were equally buried together with his remains today. I was a witness.

What can we do other-than pray that God in his infinite mercy grant my brother, a fellow 'Eagle' and 'Pubite' (Pub.Admin) a wonderful rest in his aboard.
Rest in peace Valentine! If I had my way, I would simply tatoo your name here; up here on my right arm to show you how much you are missed.

If only tears could raise the dead; the tears which hit the soil of Ifite Ogwari today would have done the magic. But we prayed for you.
