The two words are similar and can be used interchangeable but has a slight difference in meaning and understanding. Fake life: this entails carrying on your daily life activities solely on the platform of not being real. It depicts one living a life of doubts trying to claim or rather claiming what you are not. Fake life lies more on one not being himself and living his life knowing fully well that the live behavioural pattern is so fake. E.g, most of Nigerian actors are so fake and living fake lives too because they claim to be in possession of what they could not even afford, always showing off. On the other hand......... Packaging: it is a more humorous word but it seems more complex and encompassing. Packaging is all about trying to position yourself in a certain way in order to fufill a certain set-out task or objective. Packaging depicts one trying to appear in a certain way or mood just to suit the time or condition he is in. Packaging is just for the main time game, one can switch back to his normal self when the actual goal is being achieved. For e.g, in Igbariam campus, u can impress a girl just by spending your weekly allowance on her at lachez claiming u've got the currency just to taste whats in-between her legs. When your mission is accomplished, u can hide back inside your shell of being broke and subject yourself to the normal okpa you are used to. Whereby fake life talks about d fake identity on which you are living your life on, packaging is just the extra measure u applied just to meet up to an expectation.

Packaging is when one does what he/she wunt normally do just to impress others and to be recognised...Eg: A guy dressing fine and telling a lady who his father isn't just to get under her pant and when you ask him how the hell did he get that chick he simply replies it's packaging...Conclusion: the only difference between packaging and fake-life is just difference in name.packaging simply means living a fake-life (K-SLIM)

Packaging is acting in a way just so people can respect you and acknowledge you while fake life is knowing you are not something but acting it.

Fake life involves deciet,lies etc and it involves actions etc while packaging mostly involves your appearance,intonation etc.

The difference is quite clear, 'living fake life' means you are forcing your self to belong where surpasses you just to convince people while 'packaging' means you are trying not to let people know your are not capable (by most of the time being yourself) and consuming your resources in a manner that makes it look like you are worth more than your real worth.
'Fake life' involves big lies and forcing yourself to belong but 'packaging' is more of proper management of the ones you have just not to let yourself down.

Often times people mistake this two to mean the same thing........, buh they re two dfrnt things.
To a lay man, packaging or to package means to cover up......, to cover up wot u dnt av........., in other words packing means working hard or trying so hard to look good or to impress. for instance a student from a very poor background can engage himself in other legit finz aside studies after dat he uses the proceeds to look gud. Packaging is not bad......., Infact packaging is advisable else some pple will remain stagnant or @ 1 spot for a very long time in their life. and one very gud advantage of packaging is that it brings like minds together, u dnt need 2 lie 2 d whole world nd be a dffrnt person.
Fake life............, Hmmmmmmm, fake life simply means lieing abt every fin abt you........, fake life is synonymous wif lies........, wen u leave a fake life, u lie abt everyfin about you, ure identity, ure roots, even your looks becomes a lie....., sooo fake....., u make pple see u as who u re not, u try 2 raise urslf above what you really are. Fake life jst works with lies......, cuz re soooo fake,,,,, u'll always lie abt where you travelled 2, what u re wearing nd who u re......., of course doze stuffs ain't really necessary
In summary wen u package u re still the real you pple used 2 knw...., jst dat some finz av changed or improved buh wen u leave a fake life u become a dffrnt person entirely cuz pple will only get d fake impression u gave them about you....., u jst become 2 beings....., the real you(that pple dnt really know) nd den d fake you. I bet if u can differentiate hunger from longer throat then u'll know how to go about differentiating packaging 4rm fake life.

I wish my Dad knows what #packaging is, anyway packaging is trying to liv up to a normal or higher level without bein left out, fake life is trying to show off what u don't have claiming to be on a good level which is not up to the level of packaging, in conclusion packaging and fake life are on a different level

Packaging is higher level of Fake life, u cannot call packaging fake life

What if I told you that 'Packaging' as used in this context and 'Fake-life' has no difference?
What if I told you that 'packaging' in this context is a 'cover up slang' for fake life?
If we are all against somebody or people living fake lives, then we should be against packaging. This is because the both entails being whom you are not.
A friend of mine Miss Jules is of the opinion that living a fake life entails telling of lies while the other doesn't. But I disagree.
Dictionary dot com defined lies to be:
1. A false statement made with deliberate intent to
deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood.
2. Something intended or serving to convey a false impression; imposture:
I will not bother you with the dictionary definition of 'packaging'. It is simply a verb for the word package which no dictionary links it with the context of which it is used today by this entertainment generation.
Using the definitions I garnered from my friends as a case study, I noticed this special kind of stress on the idea of fake life. Which shows that everybody hates people living fake lives but gives a thumb on packaging.
It is almost a wise saying for us to hate packaging just as much as we hate fake lives.
Because its either you are REAL or you are FAKE
