Onyeka Nwelues advice to young people

I love this writer, and so I don't fail to read his status update on facebook regularly. Though sometimes, I disagree with some of them. But he is entitled to his opinions. This is one of his numerous splendid status update which got me meditating. It is addressed to young people. You and I. So read and tell me what you think.
Dear Young People, in my short journey in life, I have come to the conclusion that you SHOULD not always listen to what OLDER people tell you it's right, because most of them couldn't fix their own lives and haven't figured ways to fix them. So, this is what they do to you; they try to talk you into doing things the way they want to see it. They will tell you, 'Go to university and when you graduate, we will fix you up.' You obey and then go and spend 4 years somewhere and graduating, they have just died. You look around, perplexed and hopeless. Some of them also might be helpless and sick when you finish. You will spend the rest of life trying to figure out a new life. What we don't understand about this life is this: nothing works as planned. Nothing. Live your life with the flow. Those who plan and fail always find the Devil to blame. Don't hanker around for promises. People will tell you what you want to hear so you can leave them alone. Move on with your life and achieve the little things that your heart yearns for. Leave uncles and aunts alone. Leave role models alone. Many of them have battered lives and are very irresponsible to their own private desires.

@ first, i did nt want to buy d idea until i started reading deep, tis nw clear to me why u talked abt older ones like dat. The truth is dat, we need our elders in our society; they av their own roles to play in our lives today. Tis jst like a growing up child who does nt knw his right hand frm left to decide he doesn't need his mother. One can learn frm their past mistakes... My advice to fellow youth out there is, follow ur mind and let ur instinct guild u. Wht is happening in dis generation is more worst compared to their own tym. Be God fearing, never rely on anybody before u can make it in life. Trust God for everything and be prayerful.
