Supreme Court rules in favor of same sex marriage in California


It's finally happened. If you live in California, you are now free to marry your gay partner as gay marriage has been made legal in the state.

The Supreme Court this morning ruled against California's controversial Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage in the state. The court also struck down part of the Defense of Marriage Act, which prevents same-sex spouses from receiving the same benefits that heterosexual couples receive. You can read more about it HERE

I read the news and I also read it on tweet from Wall Street Journal @WSJ, CNN. Well, I think Obama's official twitter account would tell you "love is love". DOMA and Prop 8 is all rubbish.
